Re: What book are you currently reading?
I'm reading When God Was A Rabbit by Sarah Winman. I wasn't sure about it at first but now I'm 2/3 of the way through and it has me pretty hooked, it's a good story.

...I'm doing extension 1 and extension 2!
I haven't had a chance to read recreationally for months. I was about a quarter of the way through Michael Scott's The Magician when term 1 of school started, and I haven't been able to keep reading it since then which is a shame because I really liked the series.

British Vogue. When I'm not reading that, I'm reading some boring book about Chinese cinema for a module I'm taking.

Re: What book are you currently reading?
UHM, general maths, ancient history, studies of religion 1 (It's compulsory for us... ugh) and hospitality as a VET course at TAFE. My estimated ATAR from the half yearlies was 83, but they guessed my hospitality score as 80% which scaled down to 50%. I used an ATAR calculator online, and an extra 5% actually scales up to about 90%, so I'm looking at an ATAR of 88ish. I'm trying to get into interior architecture at UNSW and last year's cut-off was 87, so I'm hoping it stays that way. I only do 6 units in school hours so I have like 30 study periods per cycle. I SHOULD be studying, but all I've been doing in them is procrastinating, and now I have my P's I'll probably be going home and on Maccas runs a lot. :\ ANYWAY, back on topic, I finished The Skull Beneath The Skin and started back on Hamlet. Thank god my year 10 teacher made us do it then, I remember most of the story. Re-reading Ham-rat was also very helpful.

Re: What book are you currently reading?
I just started A Secret Kept by Tatiana de Rosnay. I read another book of hers, The Secret Key and it was really good so hopefully this one will be as well.
I also just finished Sweet Valley Confidential. I don't know if any of you are old enough to have read the Sweet Vally Twins, Sweet Valley High, or Sweet Valley University when they were all the rage but this book was set 10 years after high school. Francine Pascal seemed lie a better writer when I was 12, lol. It was okay but nothing special.

Re: What book are you currently reading?
Okay, Hamlet's under my belt for the time being so I've started on some hard-boiled crime fiction stories so I can use them as sources in essays. So far I've avoided reading and analyzing 'normal' crime, instead focusing on 'when a crime is not a crime', 'justice and the law are different' and all that alternative stuff, but I need some stereotypical hard-boiled stories in there as well. :\

Re: What book are you currently reading?
thats gunna make the hsc markers froth, they love all that thinking outside the box crap. do you need like novels or short stories? cause you could just google short stories with that 'when a crime is not a crime' or whatever. nets has some good stories :) oh and for the hsc belonging exam - have a pre written creative writing story already made and memorise it to write around the quote/guide they give you to use.

Re: What book are you currently reading?
I've been using the same creative writing story since year 10, so it should be all good. It covers journeys and belonging at the same time and I got full marks for it in my school certificate trials two years ago.
