I love that there is an actual story evolving from your NH, this is what was so great about TS2 hoods, they had stories that captured the players imagination, you should replace the people who work at EA for their shoddy generic worlds!! >:(
I've only briefly played the newest version, (and i'm sorry I haven't posted more - forgive me! :'( ahem.) Just thought I'd say I actually LOVE how you've utilized the subway stations and made them into 'docks'. Super original Idea!! :D Also, one little glitch (although this could have just been more or a one off?) The portable Gnubb set at the community centre - one person was facing backwards and throwning the batons the wrong way?? Or is that actually how it works... to be honest, its the first time i've even used the object so i just wondered! haha!

Re: Coconut Island 3.0 BETA! *Updated Jan 22 2011*
Ah Ha, unless someone else has found this, I think tha I have found the problem to the Kings Game not working at the Camp. Maybe that is the problem at the other places too, I will check and see if this is so later Anyway, I noticed that the ground was sloped. So I deleted the Kings Game and I flattened the land where the game was to go. Put in a new game and it worked fine. Hope that this helps, I am not sure how you got it on a slope. I hope that I have at least contributed to some help. I will check with the other places.
I checked out the game at the water hole and the same problem, perhaps you can fix them. ground needs to be flat for them to work right. I found that I had to also change the way they faced sometimes. Also delete the game and use a new one.
Love your Island, so far that is the only thing that I have found.

Yeah, I went around and flattened all the land on and around the Gnubb(Kings) game, just haven't tested it out yet in-game to see if that did it. Makes sense though!
Edit: yup, flattening the land worked!

Why couldn't EA hire you to make the neighborhoods, because this one rocks!

I'm speechless....simply awesome! I was beginning to wonder what happened to you, lol! You've been really busy by the looks of all the new work you've done to the island. I'm really looking forward to the finished world.

Looks bootiful nice update: Isecond that you should be working for EA on official worlds haha. They would charge 1900 sim points or this haha
Re: Coconut Island 3.0 BETA! *Updated Jan 22 2011*
Any word on when the final version will be coming out? Will it be after the release of Generations? And do you still need more sims/families? Thanks!

This world is pure awesomeness! *mesmerized*
I was thinking of starting building my own once my exams are over, I wanted something beach-tropical-like, only with light-colored buildings, and a bit more city-like (a few taller buildings included, but not the ugly LN skyscrapers). But now that I've seen yours, I think I might scrub that idea and just start playing in yours. Mine would never be THIS beautiful.
Where can we get the latest version, the expanded one you posted on the 27th of April? (I didn't try your links yet, because if I do download it, I'll send my studying to hell and play. And this won't work for my GPA. But once school's done, I'm sure to download it).

Re: Coconut Island 3.0 BETA! *Updated Jan 22 2011*
Hey guys, thanks again for all the comments! I'll have a new update in a few days with all the new stuff.
I'm not too sure when 3.0 will be finished, but I am working to get it done before Generations. I do need families so send them my way if you want to have them in the world!
I have to hand it to EA for doing a really awesome job on the sky. It drives me nuts when I play a game these days that doesn't have moving clouds or twinkly stars. just beautiful!
Who likes the new Splash Park? Relocated to The Dunes and completely funded by Dr. Von Simblethum. "Natural" waterfall pumped in from the ocean for guaranteed environmental purity. We swear.
Swim duckies, swim!

It glows at night
I'm looking into ways of lighting up the waterfall!
Just tying up some loose ends and the update will be ready by Sunday! Forewarning with this update: You are highly likely to come across many new locks, keys, mysterious locations and other WA shenanigans that will be tempting to check out. Unless you don't mind spoiling the surprises, I'd wait until final release to peak at all the new Adventure stuff!

WoW! That is simply awesome! How did you manage to make that park glow? That is really something . It makes me wish a place like that existed so that I could go there....but alas, I'll just have to settle for my sims to enjoy it LOL!
Coconut Island is looking spectacular. Out of all the island worlds I have played, yours has provided the Utmost Island Vibe with a small twist of modern. And the modern blending in so well that it doesn't detract from the beauty of the Island. Really great work iggy.

I used the WA tomb lights in the debug catalog. They've come in handy a LOT!
This update is big. Coconut Island is now 20MB larger.

Oh my word, its so tropical, you can taste it.
I think it's awesome how you keep expanding it. Would you ever consider putting in some of the classic areas of Twikkii Island? Bamboo section, temples section, that sort of thing?
