Re: Will you be buying it?
I shall be buying it as well. The bunkbeds and spiral staircases is all that I need.
....And I would love to play all of the life stages to their full-potential.

I resent the "wuv" and those aren't the reasons why I want it...but yes. I shall be buying it with a mile wide grin.

Re: Will you be buying it?
Nah.
Not until it's really cheap, like $10 cheap.
I appreciate some of the things that it added, but those things are just not $40 material. Besides I can't stand giving EA more money for rabbithole features. They've kind of burnt me out with this EP. I'm really starting to think they couldn't care less about improving the game, and it's just going to stay the same.
If that's so I'm only going to care about the Pets and Seasons Expansion Packs. The rest of them and all of the half-baked new ideas like Generations are not worth my money.

Re: Will you be buying it?
I'll be getting it purely for collector's reasons, not because I "wuv" bunk-beds and imaginary friends.

Re: Will you be buying it?
I put not yet, because I want it to be cheaper... I noticed here in the UK that the prices drop pretty quickly... like a month after it becomes the price that the EPs' should/used to be.

I just have to ask. EA has been horrible at marketing this, at least IMO. They took forever to announce the EP, they've shoved false advertising in our faces, and recently they did that interview where they answered close to nothing.

When they first announced it, I thought it should be a Stuff Pack, not EP because it didn't seem like there was really anything new and exciting in it. Now that we have more info, like the Day Care profession, boarding schools, imaginary friends, punishing teens, and so many different interactions, I think it will make my game and my families seem more realistic. I'm actually excited about having more to do in every life stage, maybe then I won't want to rush through the child and teenager so much anymore.

Re: Will you be buying it?
The feature that has me jumping for joy the most is the lifespan adjustment per each age of life... And I think that will be in a patch update anyway. The daycare profession is enticing but I think it would be hard to manage in my game because my game is suffering big time from broken pathways.
Is there ever going to be a patch that fixes broken pathways? My sims take forever to start moving once I give them a new command! GOD. And when they reach an object they want to interact with/ person, they stand there for 20 sim minutes before they use the dang thing or talk to the person. When I tell them to quit doing something it takes about another 20 sim minutes.
So I can't imagine how big a hassle it would be babysitting a bunch of toddlers with all the broken pathway things in my game.

Re: Will you be buying it?
Nope, I probably won't buy it. They want an arm and a leg for new EPs. It's madness.

Re: Will you be buying it?
Yeah, and nothing in this ep feels essential to me or game changing. Sim kids already have playground equipment to play on, and I'm not really caring about the new grounding for parents because sims will most likely only ground there children when they play pranks, and my sims won't play many pranks because pranks will be boring. The strollers are dumb bc they only have single strollers, so carrying your toddler to the park works just as well. Most of the chemistry set potions seem fairly useless. Daycare won't work well with my games broken pathways. Every big feature is rabbit holed.
I really don't see why so many people are seeing this as omg must have! Yeah, the extra variety in children activities are nice, but they aren't necessary, and I'm certainly not going to spend 40 dollars for them.
Assuming the lifespan changer comes in an update, the only thing I will miss is the spiral stairs, sleeping bags and bunk beds I think...
Plus, I don't think my computer can handle many sims 3 eps so I kind of have to pick the ones i get selectively.

Will I buy it? Probably somewhere down the track, when it's on special and I feel the need to finish my collection. Will I pirate it? Absolutely.

I'm not intelligent enough to figure out pirating on the internet.
