From what I've heard, the only expansion pack that features a jacuzi is late night, which I don't have. Then, how come my sim has a wish for an item that I don't have?

How is that possible?

The expansions I have installed are World Adventures and Ambitions.

PS. I'm going to buy fast lane stuff soon, and I refuse to buy late night because the shopkeeper told me it could only be installed ONCE. So if my brothers and sisters want to install it on their computer they would have to buy their own late night. I think that's preposterous for a game with family living under the same roof.

Have you been updating your game? That was a glitch that came with the first Late Night patch. Make sure you are updated completely.


Also, I am pretty sure that is a lie, and he was trying to scam you. There is no limit on how many time you can install these games, because there is no SecuROM or any other malicious program to track it.

But if I instal it on this PC, and were to buy a completely new on and instal it on that one would it instal or refuse? Because they said you could only use the code once or something.

Like, that the other sims expansion packs were able to instal everywhere and late night only on once computer because it needed to start with a code or something, VERY weird.

I don't understand, why would a shopkeeper lie to me, were they planning on buying it themselves or something? I doubt it was the last one they had in stock.. :/ but it's not impossible.

Nope you can only have it on one computer.
It's EAs way to prevent people from giving the game to their mates.
Personally, i don't see why you would have such a problem with that.
Alot of companies do that now so it's to be expected.

No... I swear to god I am almost positive that rule does not apply to TS3. That was SecuRom. SecuRom allowed you only to have it on 3 or 5 computers. I'm pretty sure it's not at all like that for Sims 3.

The only thing you CAN'T do more than once is register the game code to the EA site more than once.

Okay now I don't know what to believe anymore.

I know the sims 3 can be on 5 different computers so that family can install it as well.
But the shopkeeper told me it was different for Late Night. That it could only be played on one computer and now Nancy says the same.

Can one of you grab your partners laptop or something and install sims 3 and sims 3 late night to test out if it's possible to play on 2 computers?
Don't confirm that it works after successfully installing both, I need to know if you can play too.

The shopkeeper is wrong. None of the previous Sims 3 packs were like that, and there is nothing different about Late Night. My sister has, so far, installed all the games on three different computers without a problem. There's no limit on the number of times a code can be used, or a disk installed.

Offtopic: I think Swats hair is from the online store.

I'm sure she does. I bought it for her birthday and installed it myself.

I installed Late Night on my computer the first time on Windows Vista. Recently, I switched to Windows 7 - I didn't just upgrade, it's a whole new operating system, so it is essentially a whole new computer. I had no problem installing it the second time.

But yeah. I hate to create the descrepancy, but I was so sure because there was a huge war on it before Sims 3 came out. If anything, I'll find out when I upgrade to Windows 7 this weekend

You can install the game as many times as you'd like, but you can only register the code once.

What's the code for anyway? Creating a sims 3 account? I thought people already did that with the basic Sims 3

It's not TO create one, but to allow you to download content. You can't download something from the site without having a serial code for some reason.
