I can't really vote. I've not listened to her new album yet.. well except I've heard Judas. And I don't like Judas. I tried but I just don't like it. :/

I really can't decide. While I liked her old self, where she didn't take herself so seriously, her new music is so much better. The tone of The Fame and Born This Way is so different that they could be by two different artists...

I don't really see at what point she became New Gaga. She's always reinventing herself, she's basically a new person every time you see her. When The Fame Monster was released all her interviews and music was so gothic and dark, and already that's a reinvention from The Fame. And now BTW is out, she's renewed herself again, like, her interview on Graham Norton, she was so funny and kinda genuine for once. IDK, I can't decide.

I think a better poll would be:

"Red and Blue" Gaga
"The Fame" Gaga
"The Fame Monster" Gaga
"Born This Way" Gaga

Because as Joe said, she's reinvented herself more than once. I loved her Fame Monster period the most so far, but IDK if that means I liked "New" Gaga or "Old" Gaga. D:

Even within that, "The Fame" had two specific periods, there was the semi-subtle dance period of Just Dance/Poker Face, and the sudden transformation into the Crazy Gaga we all know and love, aka Paparazzi Gaga. And her Eh Eh phase where she was just kinda regular, but I'm not familiar with the Red and Blue EP so I can't really comment on what her style was back then.

I think between the three albums I've heard, her only style I hate is this new gaga BTW crap.

I talked to my friend about it today when I saw her and she agrees that BTW and edge of glory suck and that judas has been her only good single so far.

I don't like this rocker over the top thing she is doing now.. or whatever style it is, I don't like it.

Personally, GaGa was just another artist to me in The Fame days. the Monster days, I was just like "wow, she's crazy! but interesting. I want to listen.

I'm completely in love with her now. I love her new album. It's such a good medium of everything she's done. I'm in love with it.

Really? Judas is /okay/. The only song I dislike is Hair. It's just.. stupid, imo. Maybe it's because I'm a guy and I don't relate. But the thing is, i do relate, because I have longhair that my parents hate me having. But it's like... idgaf. I think i dislike it because Edge of Glory came out one week, it was AMAZING, and then Hair came out and I was just like.. ehh..

I have the opposite opinion of Swat, when hair came out, my hair was kinda short, so I couldn't relate, but I LOVED it, the HAIR-HAIR-HUH-HUH-HUH-HAIR bit I LOVED, and the "Uh huh"'s were fun too sing along to too. The Edge Of Glory, for me, was kinda boring, it sounded nice but nothing really interesting was in it. Judas I loved when it came out, then I didn't care much for it, but now I'm back to the fist pumping and everything, the same with Born This Way. I adore the album, and the songs are very catch and easy to listen to, but I still feel that it didn't surpass The Fame Monster which, for me, just defined what pop should sound like, idk, maybe it's because I liked the very dark gothic edge to it, which would explain why I love Bloody Mary. Also, was it just me, or did Born This Way's production feel kind of overdone? Idk, again, I LOVE the album, but TFM was better IMHO. :3

It may have been a bit overhyped, but then again, I've played it a least 40 times through and the topping songs are BTW & EOG at 206 and 196 respectively. But that says a lot for Edge of Glory, because it was released MONNTHS after BTW. Idk.

I like Bloody Mary too. I think I am finally past that new album syndrome where everything is a big blob. Every song I know and can seperate now, for the most part. Still working on it.

Hair would have to be one of my favourite songs at the moment, despite the fact that the lyrics are completely ridiculous, along with Americano and Scheiße. Born This Way has become my new driving album, the songs are so much fun to sing along to while you're driving, and you get to fill the "teen blasting music from car speakers" stereotype.
I also love Marry the Night and Yoü and I, because Lady Gaga really does have an amazing voice but it's often hidden under a layer of electronic music.
Some of the songs sound so Maddona-like it's scary. Black Jesus † Amen Fashion for example.
My favourite incarnation would have to be Fame Monster Gaga though, I just love those songs. Fame Gaga... not so keen on. I'm not a big fan of Poker Face or Just Dance.
PRE-Gaga Gaga though sounds incredible. Seriously, listen to some of the songs from her Red and Blue EP.

Oh dear Lord, do NOT get me started on Black Jesus. People said the song Born This Way ripped off Express Yourself, but the real culprit is BJ+AF, who's verses are the same melody as EY, but on a different key. This was a massive disappointment for me, because I loved the opening and I loved the chorus. Also, Red and Blue can be heard on The Fame in tracks like Again Again and Brown Eyes, which were writen at the same time as Red and Blue. I adore Red and Blue, I have it on my phone, Wish You Were Here would be my favourite track on the EP, and I love the Fame too. I just really quite like Gaga's voice and songs, regardless of the genre, but when it comes down to it, The Fame Monster beat them all. The production was without flaw, the song writing was clever, and the performance was breathtaking.

...I fucking love BJ+AF. Maybe I should listen to some Madonna then...

but know, I've hardly ever heard too much Madonna, but right away I knew BJ+AF was Madonna sounding.

Post Re: Fame Gaga? Fame Monster Gaga? Or Born This Way Gaga?
red&Blue pre-GaGa was adorable. Just a simple teenage girl singing about her dreams. Didn't stand out much but her voice definitely did. Her voice was amaaazing. It was big, smooth, kinda squeeky but at the same time really edgy. You can still hear some of her music style from this era in some of her GaGa songs.

After that, I thought piano-rock-disco GaGa seemed pretty cool. It was when she first became Lady Gaga but didn't put out an official album yet. She performed with Lady Starlight and what not. She seemed so spunky and fun loving. That was before she transitioned into the Alien person for "The Fame"

I really didn't like most of the songs on "The Fame" though. The only songs I liked were Just Dance, then the tracks she made during her "piano-rock-disco" phase that just ended up on the album. When she first started becoming famous, I thought she seemed cool - with the cosmo themed performances, the live singing, the cute video blogs and slight dents of European culture. But then as The Fame progressed was when she started becoming "over the top" but didn't really show why. She also had this awkward cheesy glossy celebrity vibe to me, that I didn't really take that seriously. I'd say her "Fame" era was my least favorite.

But "Fame Monster" was when I really began falling in love with her. She showcased a new look, showed off her matured voice and broader, darker musical style. I started to see her personality and she became more serious and I began to love her crazy costumes, but she was also a little more simplistic compared to now. The album only had 8 tracks but I loved all 8 of them even if the tone was overall really dark. Generally, she seemed a lot more fresh at this era.

Born This Way GaGa
is... I dunno. I like half of the album, and as a person, it does seem like she's taking herself too seriously. She's so overwhelmed with the fame and all of her "little monsters" there's something different about her. She changes her look here than Fame Monster, but at the same time, maintains consistent too... If that makes sense. I really love the songs Bloody Mary and Americano - I wish she had more songs like it. Too much of the album seems happy 80s/Madonna to me and I can't replay some of the songs at all. She acts like she can change the world with one album. I like that she wants to promote being yourself, but it feels like that's all she does. Always talking about her fans, always talking about her bullied childhood. :p But, I think it's nice even if it's repetitive.

I'm not a die-hard Gaga fan, I hear her on the radio and I know a few of her other songs. I really liked her during The Fame Monster, but honestly the last few songs on the radio i've heard I don't like. I feel like it's nothing unique now and it sounds like the rest of the top 40. If being unique is her thing then I'm not getting it from these last few songs. I loved Paparazzi, bad romance, and telephone
