I believe I just saw that this is a feature that will be added in the patch.

Wow, thanks for making your EP even more worthless, EA. LOL. But that's an honest thank you. xD

I figured this would come in a patch. Yeah this is one of the main things I was looking forward to from the ep as well...
I think the game will be fun enough with the free update. For such a greedy company EA sure is nice by giving free stuff in updates... God love em. I knew they had redeeming qualities.

If we've gotta stick to the 90 day total:

Baby ; 2
Toddler ; 7
Child ; 10
Teen ; 16
YA ; 32
Adult ; 18
Elder ; 5

I think the home for the elder is a really good idea too. It's a bit of a pity you won't be able to auto-move all elders into it, but it should clean up the town pretty nicely. Though I wouldn't have any idea where to put it as the town is cramped silly. Wish they'd bring out the final / newer version of CAW. The current one keeps crashing because of RAM problems :(. But that's for another thread :).

Where is this? There's a new retirement home for elders? :wha:

edit: Oh yeah just saw it mentioned earlier. I've had the idea before, but never bothered making it. You can only have 8 sims in a household and unfortunately there's usually much more than 8 elders...

That would be one rabbithole I'd be all for, send the elders in and then just click on it to go in and visit them every now and then. They can't leave.....ever.

So many people not giving the elders any love. XD They make excellent babysitters and cooks and stuff.

I remember watching an episode of always sunny in philadelphia and the girl in it was afraid of elderly people and it was such a funny episode.
They do have saggy skin and they are hard to talk to but I don't think I have an elderphobia like many of the people in this thread.

apparently the reputation system comes in a patch as well as the age adjuster.. NOOOO. I did not want the reputation system. ugh.

Comes out at a total of 66 days.

The game gives presets. ;-;

Teen - 13
Y. Adult - 21
Adult - 11
Elder - 6

Those are mine based on presets; although, they still add up to 66 days.

But you know it's just for advertising.

It's quite extreme, though, because with an EP this small, they're giving a good portion of it to us for free.

Not complaining about that! :XD:
I doubt I'll buy the EP, so I'll celebrate the freebies happily. :XD: And it's one of the few addons I'm really happy about :).

Thats what I was thinking.. we even get memories and dating in the update I believe. I am kinda upset they put the reputation system in the update though. I don't want to make my sim players' lives more difficult! Ugh.

But we don't get body hair?

I know that's stupid, and I can totally live without it. But I was thinking it would probably come with the patch like the boob slider did.

holy shit, that's such a good idea. I usually play one of the kids and move them into one of the non-played kids houses.

I use awesomemod, which allows you to have more than 8 sims. My homes usually range between 10-17 elders. The turnover is pretty fast. :gig:

Going to see grandma and grandpa is always an amusing trip with over a dozen other elders living there. I am now realizing I don't have an old folk's home on Coconut Island. I'll just stick them in "Tomb of the Elders"

Bring on the patch!! I want the free updates! Sounds like they're giving a fair amount for freehere. Actually. They're giving the same small amount, but for this EP it's pretty much all of it..

Lol, I did that once and haven't since... it's a great idea though! I can set them up with all the luxuries I wouldn't give them in their own home, like a games room and a garden. I'm going to do that!

I'm considering making the stages realistic. 1 day for babies (actually that will be the case even when I'm not being realistic), 4 for toddlers, 7 for children. I may use 8 for teens, but that does cut short a very important time period. I want all the young stages to be equal to a older life stage. For example, I really want 21 years until adulthood, then they would read the actual adult stage at 42 days, and elder at 63. They will probably die at 75 years. But, I may add those 15 days so I can expand the teen and child stages a bit.

Huh. Am I the only one that uses the Epic lifespan? It's perfect for trying out absolutely everything. :bub:

Baby - 10 days
Toddler - 30 days
Child - 50 days
Teenager - 150 days
Young Adult - 450 days
Adult - 450 days
Elder - 50 days

Total: 1190 days

Although.... I might turn the Elder to 20-30 days and the Young Adult and Adult stages to 300.

I use epic as well! I find myself ridiculously attached to my sims, so it takes a few hundred days for me to get bored of them and move on to the next generation. :ton:
