Erm...have you tried cleaning the cache?

Have you tried (resetSim first last) cheat? Clearing the cache and removing mods would help, too. Annoying as hell.

I just made a new game to play with to wait for the patch, and I'm just crossing my fingers that it will solve my problem! I don't have a worldcaches folder and my cache folder has one thing in it :| lol and I don't have much mods or CC but I took them out anyway (just hair and 3 or 4 clothing items) but still nothing! :( and I haven't tried the reset Sims cheat but I'll try it after I get back from school! :) Thanks guys! :)

the cache files aren't neccissarily in the cache folder, just in ea/the sims 3 and then they're just loose in there!

All of a sudden I'm having this problem too. Earlier today My game was working like normal, but not now. All but two of the sims in my household are unselectable and uninteractable, and the resetSim cheat won't work. I haven't downloaded any patches or mods since earlier today either.

I know this post is an old one but if anyone is still having this issue I've found out that if you move the sims out then move them back in thru edit neighborhood they can interact with other family members again.

I had this issue were I couldn't click on certain familiy members anymore and the above fixed it. This is one of the many bugs with generations.

Agreed! It happened to one of my sims not long ago and this worked. Well actually he couldn't click on beds. It was bizarre. Still, this worked thankfully.
