Yeah yeah. But anyways, I was mad they didn't answer any of my tweets :P
Not interested. Seriously. It's not like the new stuff sucks, it's just that there isn't anything genuinly NEW. Gym equipment has been around from the start, the library stuff gets done pretty much every EP and SP before, laundromat third time around and generations already gave us a playground. I'd like to say the new rabbitholes are worth it, but I really don't think they are; i wouldn't be able to use them in my CAW world anyway, simply because most people won't be getting this SP.
Why can't they add some genuine new stuff? Where is the gym bycicle? Or a machine to train your back muscles or any other muscles that for that matter, but doesn't look the same like the machine we've already got? Or a decorative rack with different dumbbels. Or anything else that would genuinely help making my gym look more like a gym. I mean, seriously, if you search for gym equipment, you get to see hundreds of different types on google. So why are we always getting the same rehashed two? As for the playground, why not something like this?:
Bleh.

Re: EA announces The Sims 3 Town Life Stuff
^ Really hate to stomp in your argument (which I agree on anyway), but by definition, Stuff Pack does not add any NEW items, only adds remakes / new versions of old items, with a FEW minor exceptions (Mansion & Garden Stuff). It sucks, but thats why they are so cheap, and easy to make for EA.
Lol, true. Which is why I decided not to buy any SP for the Sims 3. Though High End Loft was tempting. Until they released the future shock sets. Now those are to drool over! Not that I can afford the store stuff =_=, but... Hubba hubba!
Anyway, I guess I was just trying to say I'm disappointed. What I was hoping for, what I really wanted, was a ligit version of Jynx' rabbit hole rugs. I mean, how could you get more 'town life'-like than that? We'd finally be able to build our own rabbit holes, even if they'd be just for show. And since Outdoor Living for some utterly uncomprehensible reason didn't have any garden plants, I figured Town Life was bound to have a bunch. Town life = pretty town = green = lotsa plants! Or it should anyway.
I just think EA is using stuff packs in the wrong way. SPs arent EPs. Fine. But why bother releasing a DVD with nothing but a bunch of items? They've got the Store for that kind of thing. What I don't get, for example, is why they didn't make a stuff pack out of Gothic Library, a Store set that genuinly adds new content to the game (magic). Fans have been screaming for a remake of Makin' Magic from day one. We obviously won't get one (they wouldn't have released a spellbook object in the store if they were planning to make magic part of any EP)*. Many people, including me, refuse to buy from the store, simply because of its rediculous prices. But imagine they put the gothique sets on a disc with the gothic library and released it as a stuff pack. Fans would have gone wild! Of course, they can't do that anymore because the sets have already been released in the store, but it would have worked a lot better than what they're doing now.
Or how about a stuff pack around the theme 'sport and health'? - A set of sport clothes - A set of swimsuits, bikinis and swimtrunks - Some hairs - A new bathroom set - A new kitchen set - A new bar set - A rehash of the two fitness machines - A wholy new fitness machine - A dressing room bench - Set of lamps - Decorative clutter like dumbell rack, lockers, sport clothes, bowl of fruit, tray of drinks, maybe a rack or glass fridge with different drinks and fruits, a poster or painting or two, a statue or two, etc... - Some windows - Some doors - A premade sport center
It still wouldn't be worth 20 euro's, but it'd be a whole lot closer.
* Anyone up for a round of EA-cursing? I'll provide the cauldron and the frogs :).

Meh.. i'm kinda agreeing with you. I don't know.. The idea of the Sims 3 Store kinda ruined SPs, but at the same time, idk... It's nice that fans can pick and chose certain items they want iff they get them from the store, but that pays a price... Its WAY more expensive.
Yep. The store is just EAs means of cashing in on the extensive CC community the Sims 2 had. I still miss it. The EA Store does have some very nice objects, but it just can't compete. That and the prices lead to a triple sigh. But I decided I'm going to wait until they release a DVD with hoards store stuff for a cheap price. Though this probably won't happen for another five years, until well after the Sims 4 has been released.

Re: EA announces The Sims 3 Town Life Stuff
I feel that people just expect more out of games now. It may have worked for ts2, but for ts3 stuff packs just need to be MORE. if they added really new objects with new animations I may be a little new tempted, but none of the stuff packs has remotely interested me, not only because of the oddly specific themes, but because I'm paying for something I already have in a slightly different form.

Well, dammit.
After looking at pictures of the items included, I kind of want this SP, mainly for the new doors and windows. I miss those 4-circle windows so much now! I might buy it today...
