Hey guys, I just wanted to pose a general question to those of you who updated to 1.24. Did everything go okay? Were there a lot of bugs? Do you regret updating?

I'm just still on 1.22 and I want to update but before I do want to get a general consensus of how it went for everyone else (I was away when it came out)

I also want to read about people having used the update... Would like if people would write which expansions/stuffpacks they got so it is easier to see wether it is only poor people like me riscing getting probs or not with it..

My fiance installed with no problems, but it didn't fix any of the problems he has been having... f.ex. is his daugther still missing after she went to school one day... he has same exp and stuff as me which is:
World Adventures, High-End-Loft, Ambitions...

i have updated to the new patch. and i don't have any problems. Many Glitches and bugs in my game disappeared. So this patch works fine if you have Generations.

I only updated yesterday. So, I'm not much help, I suppose. The install went okay and everything. Only played today for about an hour. I'll let you guys know if anything shows up. :]

I went and updated it, as no one seemed to have that many problems. I am yet to see problems. I've updated Awesome but need to update some NRaas stuff.

I still haven't updated to the one before this current one. I'm scared of my game exploding or not even loading. :B
I've checked around and I"m hearing mixed stories. Some people are able to play, some people still aren't. I'm not sure which is the majority.
I just find it sad that they'd release patches that end up making the game unplayable. Must be frustrating to so many people, and not every sim player knows how to use the internet to look up help for something that shouldn't even happen... mostly the little kiddos that play sims.

I'm also a little confused with how to install patches. Do I have to install each patch individually, one by one - or does patching in the launcher automatically give me -every- patch since my last one? I know, I've been here for like 6 years, I should know this. BUT I DON'T D:

I upgraded to the latest patch and honestly I haven't been experiencing many problems outside of the save error code messages (so they haven't fixed that).

My sister, who plays my game, hasn't complained so I assume that there aren't too many issues. BTW I have all EP's and SP's.

I played for a few hours yesterday and no problems at all for me. It was nice. XD

CrazyZimBrandina- Get the 600MB 1.24 patch. It will update anything and everything, basically patching the entire game from ground up. You can get it at SimPrograms/The Sims 3/Patches

I can take pictures with my camera now. Before my Sim would freeze and I would have to use the reset cheat.

Oh thank you! But I'm afraid as far as I know, I only see a PC version and I play Sims 3 on a macbook which serves a problem XD. As far as I remember since installing in in May, I probably patched once. My version is like... 1.19.44

Oh, shit, in that case you need to do it through the launcher, as you can't run EXEs. Err...

I updated and upon doing so gave LN a shot. I have to say I'm sooooooo glad I bought it, however I do see how the celebrity thing gets out of hand quickly with some not making sense.

Anyhow, I thought my game was running better with the new patch and was glad I downloaded it. I figured "maybe it will fix the balance of celebs so I'll give it a try". I made a saved copy in case I need to uninstall but so far so good! I love LN, honestly.

I did notice today a glitch that is new after playing Bridgeport since the day the patch came out, and it's that soem of my sims Energy bars won't oscillate, they're just frozen. However, I'm just about to go back and see if that goes away. I wanna say this happened once before, but that will be annoying if they can't sleep.

Weirdest glitch ever... one of my Sims was coming home with twins from the hospital. Husband got home first with one and then Alicia, and let me just say that she walked across the city in the middle of the sky with the baby all the way back to the hospital. I am *NOT* kidding. I couldn't believe my eyes. She literally walked across the sky, in the middle of the air from the "Sugar Cube" home on the hill to the hospital and then got stuck in the bushes at the hospital, LOL go figure. I hit edit town and went back and she was at the house, but WOW!

I hope this energy thing is gone when I go back in! Wish me luck!
