 Re: The Sixth Expansion!
I'm hoping they come out with The Sims 4 and not ten expansion packs for TS3. The more ep's you install, the more bloated and slow the game gets. I really, really hope TS4 has weather in the base game. I mean, it's so BASIC!

Swatme101 wrote: OFB is honestly covered by Ambitions in my eyes, which pisses me off, because we may never get sim-owned / buildible stores I don't mean to be a prick but I 100% disagree with you on the OFB thing. Well first of all we had the ability to buy business rabbitholes (and whatnot) since the base game. To me that is barely scraping the surface of the business aspects.... You're not hiring or changing the business for profit, you're just buying the business and collecting revenue. I actually do think that there is room in the franchise for an OFB remake, for the reasons that you mentioned... We don't have legitimate walk-in stores. I think that if they do make an OFB remake, that EA will also have to open up the restaurants. The only real problem would be that EA would have to justify why your sims should shop at the store as opposed to going to the makeover station or the rabbitholes for their products. For me, Ambitions just gave us a few interactive careers as opposed to a business-based EP. The only thing business-y about it was buying some community lots and raising the price by adding expensive objects to it; that's just basic real-estate, and once again, it's not even scratching the surface on a developed business-owning system. If Ambitions was the business remake, wouldn't that screw up the EP release pattern?

Yeah, it sounds hypocritical to what I said originally, but I agree with you. What I meant is that EA won't do OFB again because some of it's aspects went into Ambitions, but for all the reasons you said, it sucks.

 Re: The Sixth Expansion!
You know how in the Sims 2 and 3 series, Maxis/EA would sometimes leave clues on what's going to be included in the next EP? Well I found a picture of Bigfoot - perhaps this will be the new creature for the 6th EP?? They had the toy unicorn in Generations, and now we are going to have Unicorns for Pets :) By the way, the guy did say "Life but in another format" in the interview (I am aware that the translation could easily been mistaken) but it sparked my interest anyhow! What do you guys think? I know it's WAAAY too early to assume anything lol but still, I'd like to hear your thoughts

 Re: The Sixth Expansion!
I'm pretty sure I have a closeup of bigfoot somewhere! (downloaded those pages that SimPrograms put up, just about every item was photographed.) Ahh, here it is. However, due to our discovery (or knowledge) of the pattern, I think Bigfoot is out for the next EP.

Didn't we already had Bigfoot or Sasquatch in the Sims 2 Bon Voyage? Anyone remember? hunter wrote: How do you find all these photos? But if that was the EP that would blowww There are several sites that I consistently look at such as Infinite Sims, SimPrograms, SimFan.de, etc..they constantly update their websites with new photos, videos, information like every hour! The screenshot from above is indeed from Pets, I like the 1900s idea - I think it was added to pets to go with a full-blown country theme since we have horses

 Re: The Sixth Expansion!
I agree with the University rabbithole. Unless they do an EP where your sim goes off to "campus" and the campus itself is a self contained map (with loading screen to get there) with some outside recreational stuff. While you are not studying or in class you can be pulling pranks, going to parties (that the dorm's head can bust), or hanging out with friends. They would have to set a graduation time-line (certain # of days) because YA and A have no bridges currently. I don't want my YA spending all the time at college and not graduating until he gets close to being a full adult. Maybe the college can give them breaks every so often to go "home" but have to return. Then again, we already have that don't we? Send our young sims off to boarding schools until they graduate.
Universities seem unlikely.
I want them to bring back Open For Business. Ambitions didn't even come close to TOUCHING it. Sure, it had more jobs that you could sink your teeth into, but I liked Sims 2 where my sim opened her own bakery and made her money that way. This is looking unlikely too since there are rabbit holes for eateries and shops. :/

 Re: The Sixth Expansion!
I miss Open for Business too, Ambitions didn't quite make the cut lol. Jeez, all I need is a working cash register, and a system like the Sims 2 OFB where I could hire and fire employees . I'll build my own little shop below my house just like I did in the Sims 2 lol....those were the days. If they don't bring back OFB, I might just install the Sims 2 and OFB and just play that instead whenever I feel like managing a business

 Re: The Sixth Expansion!
Holy sh... good god. I have about 500MB and even that is too much for me. ANYWAY, BACK ON TOPIC...
Life in another form? I know some people are jumping to "OMG SUPERNATURAL GHOSTS AND STUFF!!" but, because the article was translated by Google, maybe it meant another kind of life as in location-wise. We've already had the city scene in Late Night, and it looks like Pets is going to cover rural/country quite well, so what else is there really that EA could use? I don't see them branching off to anything too specific or obscure, so far every world is pretty much based off something in the US so I doubt there'll be any ice-ridden post-Soviet city states in the future (although that would be, admittedly, awesome). The only two things I can really think of at the moment are snow and tropical. Snow will almost definitely be in a Seasons-type expansion pack, so I guess a tropical island is the only thing I can think of that would be drastically different to their regular worlds. Maybe a return of generic holiday locations?

 Re: The Sixth Expansion!
A nice proper vacation EP would be nice, though its like 95% guaranteed hotels will work like apartments if they do it.

That'd make me mad :( that's pretty much like it was in TS2, how much more could EA water it down? I mean, I know most people don't but I like the LN way of apartments (it's not as fun as TS2 Apartments but it's effective) but unlike apartments, where you don't see everything usually IRL, you should have open reign to see what apartments you can check into. Alas. I personally think EA just won't do another travel-type EP. If Ambitions and Generations is any set of markers, I think EA is coming up with completely different ideas (other than the remakes). Seeing the sixth EP will show (me at least) if EA is doing the right or wrong thing.

 Re: The Sixth Expansion!
Hello EA ARE YOU OUT There I don't think EA is listening to it's loyal Sims fans anymore because for years since the beginning of Sims 3 we have been asking for something simply and still have not received it. Seasons! EA is coming out with these lame Expansions Packs just to make more money. All theses different worlds and the same rabbit holes I mean who wants that? Make the game more realistic by giving what the Sims fans what they have been asking for SEASONS SEASONS SEASONS !!!!!!! no more rabbit holes and different worlds that are the same. All the backgrounds look the same EA just put more trees and Mountains on Sunset. Just give Sims players want they have been asking for Seasons. ALSO Figure out how to connect all these expansion worlds so that my Sims that I'm playing can travel between each one.
