Or will any be present at the world adventure destinations? Basically I ask because we can get zebra patterened horses, and I was wondering if we could take them to egypt. Mostly for machinima purposes. Or will we be able to create our own herds etc?

I've already looked into that swat! It can e done but not perfectly, apparently there a few issues with doing it, the main one being you can't change households and if all your sims die you get left on payed game forever, hence why i asked!

Well I found a few threads on the subject in various forums, most if not all have given up trying I believe. The change family button gets greyed out once you have made the family so makes it very hard to play and enjoy it. If I find the threads I'll link you to them. *shuffles around for threads*

Wow, I did wonder a lot of things. Haha. But yeah, I see how the game files act funny and prevent you from doing that. that's why i wondered if you could take the shell of say, sunset valley, and replace all the objects and terrain bits. I doubt it'd be coded right if you did that though.

If you're looking for Egypt in particular, there's Al Shibalba from MySimRealty.com. It's the Egypt map turned into a normal hood. I haven't played it, so I don't know how it works, but you could try it if it fits your story.
