I'm doing it for the first time. I decided to write a Harry Potter fanfiction. Not very awesome but it's what I felt like writing since I'm still working out the kinks on my vampire story.

I'm not.. but I've always wanted to try it. I don't think I'd have the time though. D:

Thanks, Lulu! :3 So far, I don't think I'm going to make it to 50,000. I should be wirting about 1667 words a day. But right now I'm at 1804 when I should be at 3334 by this point. Ah well, I'll try to make up for it on the weekend or something.

Ah well. I'm on holidays with nothing to do so I think I'll have a go at this as well.

Oh man, I would LOVE to do this! I don't think I'm a great writer but it would be fun to try... I would have some catching up to do but I think I might do it!

Yay! Well if it makes you feel any better, I'm quite behind. I've only moved up to 2500 or so words in my HP fanfiction. And after I take out a bit tonight (since I decided it wasn't necessary to the story), it'll be less. XD On the up side, I did work out the kinks on my Vampire story and started that so I have about 600 words. I'm coming to find that I'm bombarded with ideas that I barely can decide which direction I want to go. Writing straight forward for me is painstaking as I want to jump ahead before I lose my idea.. So I'm thinking I'll write out scenes as I fancy and fill in the rest. It makes my story unsharable with people as I go but it works out best for me.

I really can blather on. XD

I'm elaborating on a 6000 word story I had to write for Extension English, but so far I haven't written anything new.
At the moment it's all planning and plots because although my teachers used to always tell me to just write whatever was in my head, I've always felt the need to plan everything out beforehand. *sigh*

I'm doing this! I heard of it before October though. This is my first year!
Writing is so much more fun then I would have thought, and it's easier then most people seem to think. I'm at 280-- words, but I've yet to write a single word today.

I'm doing terribly at this. I've written like 200 or so more words for one of my stories. The other I haven't written a single word more of. Kinda sad since I do know where both are headed.

So, did anyone else actually finish? If not, how many words did you get?

I got to 50k on day 25, but then didn't write anymore until the last two days, so I only have 52,333 words officially.

I've decided to temporarily move NaNoWriMo to January for me because I'll have a lot more free time then.

My friend and I decided that we are going to try doing it next year. Apparently there are groups of people who actually get together during the month so it sounds like a fun way to meet new people as well! I found out about it too late in the month to start this year. I guess I have a whole year to think of a storyline!
