heres the link for the appstore: http://itunes.apple.com/app/id466965151?mt=8
i actually just downloaded the game and im surprised at how good it is.. and its free
its of course only a freemium game, which means you might need to exchange real money for virtual money, like SimSocial. but of course thats only if you want to move faster in the game, think of it as a shortcut.. i never pay for the in-app purchases.
but yea so far i think the game is great. the graphics are wayy better then any of the other iOS games theyve released, (yea i have them all  ),as well as the controls, and UI, and theres alot more to do as well, including pets
if u have an iphone or ipod touch i definatly sugest for u to at least try it out, it is free.

It's fun, I'm really enjoying it on my iPad! My town is worth $825,000 and has 9 residents with decent houses. I wish it didn't require an internet connection and I don't see why it does, but I usually have one nearby. I will for sure play until the town is full and all of the houses are nicely done.

It absolutely shouldn't. I played it on Airplane one. It just checks the time, it's all controlled form the app

Apparently The Sims Freeplay is coming out for Android soon. I am still playing it on my iPad and I quite enjoy it. There was a big update this week with a new career and new objects.

Post Re: The Sims Freeplay!
I strictly stopped playing for Midterm season (2 Mondays Ago, to Thursday this past week) and suprisingly after not playing for that long the game was curteous and didn't have all my sims like.. dead. But I'm so proud of my dicipline!

Right now, I'm somewhere around level 26 (not positive), my town is worth 1,750,000 or more, and I am building my 13th house. I have all the buildings built and hope to build the science building soon (it's cheap). After I get all the sims in, I want to invest in upgrading everyone's house, and then I'll start working harder of careers. Right now I hardly ever have anyone go to work. After that, I think the game might just get boring. But I'm still impressed that I'm playing it. I dubbed it my "Christmas Vacation Addiction" (I always have one) but to still be playing it into January, skipping a few weeks, and then into February is cool. It doesn't feel stupid like farmville, although I am just planting stuff every 30 minutes or 4 hours or 8 hours. But it's not that tideous. Only 10 plots to click :P

So far, I am at level 31 and my town is worth $2,078,784. I have 12 Sims and FINALLY got to 50LP so I could buy the damn Remote Control Boat and complete the goal of having a sim play with it at the park. I can building 4 more houses, then I will also focus on upgrading all of the houses and working on careers before I get bored with it. My Sims rarely miss work, though, because I can bring my iPad to work with me and take short breaks throughout the day to send them in.

I like the goals, they help keep me interested. The damn RC Boat one took forever though because I spent all of my LP on houses and I refused to use real money to buy more so I had to wait until I could upgrade my town.

Offtopic: Congrats!

And woah, we're around the same worth but you're 5 levels above me. I bet it's because you're able to send to work, etc. But my town is currently worth 1,902,855 as we speak.

Yeah, it's probably because I play it throughout the day and my sims are usually doing something. I'm very strict about them going to work! If I have to, so do they!

Am I the only one that doesn't like the loooong actions? I immediately get bored when my sim have to take a minute long shower... :/ Oh, and does the dog do anything else but running around the garden and bark at things? Are you able to actually take care of the dog? And is there more pets? I haven't really checked the game out properly. I got the game last week when I got my phone, but I haven't been playing so much cause I get immediately bored when my sims do stuff that takes so long time.

Dogs are the only pets, so far at least. My sim has two interactions available but you don't really have to take care of them at all.

I don't mind the long interactions. I can send my sims to take a long bath and go back and check on them an hour or two later and send them to do something else. I like that I can just pick it up and make them do things throughout the day.
