I know because I've been playing it. I bought it before the release though so it was $5 cheaper.

Well first because it worked easiest with my crappy laptop, and also because it had a good balance between features and simplicity. I feel like there's too much going on in it now, before it had just enough stuff to keep me from getting bored but not too much so that i couldn't enjoy the simplicity of the experiance. Offtopic: *spelling fail*

 Re: Minecraft 1.0
Yes I was a beta user too. I haven't been playing much lately though. I want to start work on building a house. I think I'm going to build one out of sandstone in the desert. ((I wanted a nether brick one in the forest.. but you can't make nether bricks yet so meh.))

 Re: Minecraft 1.0
Not sure if I should ask this here, but has anyone tried to make a Sims 3 texture pack for the game?

I doubt it... but you could go on a Google hunt.

 Re: Minecraft 1.0
I tried making my own texture pack. Honestly, I don't think it's possible to make a TS3 texture pack without having exact themes. Like the ores would be different-colored plumbbobs and the bed would be a plumbbob-quilt, etc.
It could work...

You could make diamond ores green and diamonds plum bob shaped :3

Can't the ores be the ores from the game?
