EA released a new Showtime video where 2 producers tell a bit about the game. They talk about the early stages, the online features and venues.

Sims3 Store update 27 January
The Sims3 Store has updated with a magic set. It's an expensive set that costs $22,- (temporarily $18,50) but it contains 12 items of which 3 are Premium Content with new gameplay.

It seems that still many people play The Sims 2, so I was a bit too quick to remove all the info about it. It will take some time, but I will slowly bring back most of this section. For now, the Cheats and Infocenter is back which you can find here: The Sims 2 info

Prima
Affiliate Primagames recently launched an app called The Sims 3 Prima Official Strategy App for Iphone and Ipad which you can use to find info about The Sims 3 and its expansions. Price is $0.99 per expansion or $3.99 for all.

Katy Perry in Showtime 17 January
EA has revealed that Katy Perry will appear in the Showtime expansionpack. In a special 'Katy Perry collector's edition', you will also recieve several items like themed stage props and a poster.

Last poll question was what you think of Pets. The majority of the voters like the expansion of which 22% loves it a lot. Almost 1 third however expected more from it.

Showtime update 4 January

Sims3 Store update 22 December
There's a new set at the Sims 3 Store; Classic items from former expansionpacks and the most interesting being the Sim eating cowplant. Other objects in this pack are from The Sims 2: Bon Voyage like the big lumberjack statue.

Showtime announced 6 December
  EA has announced The Sims 3: Showtime. In this pack, which will be released in March, your Sims can become a famous singer, an acrobat, a magician or a DJ. Also, there will be many social features and a new Neighborhood called Starlight Shores.

Showtime next expansion? 16 November
A new title "The Sims 3: Showtime" has been found in a recent EA survey. But it also appeared on an online gameshop with a releasedate of March 8, 2012. Rumour has it that it will contain several sports like basketball and tennis as well as the much requested poolslide and clubs that look a bit like the ones from The Sims 2: Freetime. But no info regarding weather.
I guess we have to wait and see if this is all true.

Master Suite announced 8 November
EA has announced the new Stuff pack Master Suite. It contains luxurious items for bed- and bathroom as well as romantic clothing. Releasedate is January 24, 2012.

Last poll question was if you think Sims 2 expansions were better then Sims 3 expansions. Seeing more than half of all voters say Sims 2 was better, EA should really take more attention to their expansionpacks and not to all their hugely overpriced store stuff. Only 15% prefer Sims 3 packs.

EA has released a new Pets movie. In this 7 minute long Producer's Video, several producers tell something about the game and also what their favorite features are. The movie is about the PC as well as the Console version.

Only 16% of all voters say they like it and a quarter doesn't use it much. It seems that The Sims Social is mostly played by non-simmers.
